The girl sat at one of the coffee tables by the window of Starbucks. It was raining. Hard. Torrential rain that came down in sheets. She shivered a bit, wrapping her hands more tightly around her warm cup of coffee. She hated the rain. She wasn't totally sure why she'd ended up in Seattle then. Didn't it rain, like, all the time here? Well, she did know why she was here. Because Kodee was here. That was pretty much the only reason. She'd followed Kodee here.
She wasn't even totally sure what she was doing with her life just yet. But that was alright. She was content to just hang loose and let her feet wander. She was just that awy. She didn't need a destination to be going somewhere. She just headed in whatever direction seemed pleasing at the time.
SHe heaved a sigh as she took a sip of the coffee, watching the rain splatter on the window, blurring the images of everyone passing by otuside, some with umbrellas, some with newspapers or something else lame like that over their heads in a feeble attempt to keep from getting wet. It obviously did no good. She found it rather pathetic. Just buy an umbrella or move to somewhere that it didn't rain. Although it wasn't as if she should be talking. She could move somewhere that got no rain. But she was here. And that was that.
She drummed her fingers lightly on the table. She was bored. And there was no way she was going anywhere, currently, as she had no car and there was no way she was walking anywhere in this rain! She shivered again slightly. Stupid rain. She heaved a sigh, glancing around the coffee shop at all the people coming in and out, most of them soaked. She shook her head a bit, glad it wasn't her. She was dry, although she'd gotten a bit wet when the rain first started...Luckily she'd made it here before the downpour began. And she'd basically been hiding out here for the last hour and a half, as she had no where to be and nothing better to do, especially if it involved going out in the rain.

Today was like any other day. Kodee rolled over in bed to find some girl next to him. A girl that he couldn't even remember the name of. A girl that he wasn't sure weather he'd had sex with or weather they'd just slept in the same bed. Maybe she'd gone down on him or he'd gone down on her. Maybe they'd just made out or maybe they went the whole way. He found on very rare occasion though that sometimes he passed out before any of that could happen and on even more rare of an occasion the girl would just stay for the heck of it. He was never sure exactly what went down but he couldn't complain, he supposed that was a fair enough punishment for drinking his brains out when he was supposed to be clean. One of these days he knew he was going to be randomly tested at work and then that'd be the end of it. His secret would be out.
A quick trip to the bathroom, an excuse to escape the room and find the girl's purse in the living room, resulted in him finding out the name of the woman in his bed. Wasn't ID a lovely thing? After pretending to go to the bathroom which involved closing the bathroom door loudly to make a point. Running the sink just slightly to make it sound like he was actually going, flushing the toilet, and then dramatically opening the door again. He returned to the room, looking oh so smooth by knowing the woman's name. This mornings woman had the lovely name of Rebeca which for some reason he had to admit reminded him of cheese. He wasn't exactly sure why but it did. Which then sorta made him start to crave a nice piece of swiss cheese.
The thoughts of cheese were pushed aside as he climbed back into the bed, murmuring a sappy romantic good morning to this strange Rebeca chick before laying himself down next to her and kissing her cheek. He had a wonderful way of making a woman feel special. He had an even more wonderful way of hiding the fact that just moments before he hadn't even known her name. He lifted himself up a little bit and propped his head up with one hand, peering at the young woman beside him. He moved his free hand and pushed a few of her brown wavy locks off her face, letting his brown eyes scan her tanned face and then down over her tanned body. He'd forgotten to check her age on her ID but by the looks of it she was probably at least ten years older them him. She very obviously tried to hide the fact that she was almost thirty but it was obvious in some ways.
Kodee kissed her cheek again before moving to roll out of bed "We should get coffee" he said matter of factly. In reality Kodee wasn't actually the biggest fan off coffee. Hence the reason he didn't own a coffee maker. He knew though that if he got her out of his apartment it would be easier to ditch her. And he knew that he needed to ditch her before noon which was when his shift at work started. He would not be having himself come home to this odd Rebeca chick after work. In fact he probably wouldn't even come home at all. He'd hit the club like he did almost every night and he'd end up with some other strange girl. He moved towards the dresser and snatched a pair of jeans from it, pulling them on up over his boxers. He glanced back, having to smile as he watched the naked woman climb from their bed. Oh so they had gone the whole way. Well it was nice to know even though he couldn't remember weather it'd been good or not.
After getting dressed, watching her get half dressed before finding himself rather turned on. After a lovely little morning romp in the sack. After getting re-dressed. They finally seemed ready to go. Kodee leashed up Molly, his baby, and they headed out the front door of the small two bedroom house that he rented. Starbucks was only two miles away, a walk that Kodee made quite frequently, so he didn't bother with the car. He had of course subtly checked to make sure that miss Rebeca had appropriate walking shoes. Had she not he of course would have been a gentlemen and drove. He was rather thankful that she did though as it was harder to ditch someone when you were driving them around.
Kodee was so used to the gray sky of Seattle that he hadn't even thought of the possibility of rain. By the time they reached starbucks they were soaked and Molly was not at all thrilled. Kodee slipped his arm across Rebeca's back and they made a mad dash for the Starbucks that was now very close. They stepped under the little over hang of the roof, sheltered slightly from the rain. Kodee let his arm slip from around Rebeca and he moved to tie Molly to one of the outdoor tables. After doing so he made his way to the door, opening it and sweeping Rebeca in ahead of him. He smiled a little bit and stepped in close, kissing her on the cheek before starting towards the counter. He was distracted from this task though as he caught sight of his twin sister and he grinned. Wasn't it funny how they showed up at the same place on the same day around the same time. He was convinced that they really did share a brain.
The young man paused and he spun on the heels of his worn converse, heading in the opposite direction to where his sister sat, abandoning Rebeca. In fact forgetting all together that she even existed. He wandered to Kadea and a grin spread his lips. He extended his hand and grabbed hold of a chunk of her brown locks, giving it a gentle yank like a younger brother might to annoy his older sister. That was just the case. Kadea was older by three minutes and it was amazing how often Kodee acted so much younger. This wasn't always the case. He was capable of acting older too. He grinned "Hey pretty pretty" he mumbled and moved to slide into the chair across from her...

She watched Kodee enter the coffee shop with the other chick who looked to be quite a lot older than him, and couldn't help rolling her eyes at the boy. She feinted offense at having her hair pulled, then smirked when he sat down across from her. "Hey sexy" she responded, and then started right in, one of those big sister speaking a word of advice to her younger brother looks on her face. "I hope you know that one of these days you're going to get stuck with a clingy one that you can't just drop off at Starbucks like you do with all the others..." she informed him, nodding subtly at the woman who now stood in line, seemingly unfazed by the fact that she'd just been dumped. There was a slight smirk on Kadea's face as she sipped at her coffee.
She reached up to brush a loose strand of her dark bangs away from her face. It was about time to get her hair dyed..or cut..or SOMETHING! It was rather driving her crazy at the current moment, and she wasn't quite sure why. Perhaps it was just time for a change.
She laughed a bit, shaking her head at Kodee. It went unsaid. They both knew she didn't approve of Kodee's life style, and that was that. She didn't bring the topic up and neither did he. There was no use talking about it. Neither of them would ever budge on their opinions. She always found it rather funny how the two of them could be so different in some ways and so completely alike in others. It was also rather funny how they got along so well. They'd never really had the whole brother/sister rivalry thing going on. It just never came up...Now between Karli and Kadea, well, that was just a completely different story. Kadea had never really liked Karli and Karli had never liked Kadea. They got along, they didn't really fight that much, not any more than typicial siblings, but they had never clicked the way Karli had with Kodee, or Kadea had with Kodee. Kod tended to end up being kind of the middle man. He got along with both of the sisters and often ended up being the one to break up the few fights they did have. Kadea tried to keep him out of her and her sister's shit, but Karli really didn't. Kadea found her to be rather manipulative. But that was just Kadea. She and her sister had never gotten along.
At any rate, she pulled herself from her thoughts and glanced at Kodee, flashing a rather tired smile. It'd been a slepless night last night. She couldn't quite figure out what her problem was but she just hadn't been sleeping well. But as she gazed at Kodee, she knew why he could have a chick in his bed every night. He was a smexy beast and then he was polite on top of that. Kadea suspected it was because of having two sisters, but either way, he was quite the gentleman, and so of course, women just loved him. Kadea was quite glad that she was related to him and didn't have to try and keep him wrapped around her finger like a girlfriend would have had to. Kodee, she knew, wasn't one who was easily entertained, and it would be quite the task if he ever did pick up a steady girlfriend...

Kodee rolled his eyes at his sister's words as he let himself slouch down in the chair. "I hope you know that one of these days you're going to get stuck with a clingy one that you can't just drop off at Starbucks like you do with all the others." He shook his head a little bit and stuck his tongue out at his sister "Oh take a chill pill" he mumbled, trying to hide his smile. He actually did appreciate his sister's concern. It made him feel like someone cared. But just because she cared didn't mean that he was completely going to change his ways. He had changed a lot over the past couple years. For a while he'd been into some pretty bad drugs. He would be found constantly high or wasted and completely unaware to who he even was. He'd nearly killed himself on numerous occasions by ODing and he'd been living on the streets. You had to admit that after all that he looked like a saint. He was no longer involved with the dangerous drugs. At least not on a regular basis. And he had a house now and a steady job. Sure he slept around a lot. And sure he drank a lot. But he liked to think he was doing better.
Kodee let a smug grin come across his lips and he shrugged a little bit " Clingy ones are easier to get rid of" he said wisely. He glanced around as if telling a secret of the ancient rules of men or something. He leaned forward across the table so that he was closer to his sister and he smield "The trick is you take her to meet one of your friends and she imediatley locks on and then BOOM you're free" he said with a wise nod before sitting back in his chair. His back flopped against the back of the chair and he made a face. So metal chairs were sorta uncomfortable to slam your back back against. He'd have to take note of that and avoid it next time.
Kodee folded one leg over the other and folded his hands, placing them in his lap in a rather gentlemeny manner. He let his eyes scan the starbucks and he caught sight of miss Rebeca. Oh yeah, he'd forgotten about her. How easily he could forget. He quickly turned his gaze back to Kadea and he grinned "Here's the plan. You go up there and order me a mocha and I'll head out. You meet me around the corner and we'll go do something fun" he said with a wise nod. He didn't particularly feel like dealing with all the good byes and the I'll see you laters with Rebeca. He figured it would be best if he just disappeared. Seemed logical to him. With out waiting for a response from Kadea he tossed a twenty dollar bill at her which he'd pulled from his pocket and he stood up. He glanced in the direction of Rebeca again and when he back turned towards the door he moved stealthily like a secret agent and he slipped out the door.
Once outside Kodee paused and bent down, untying his dog from her capture to the chair. He stood up straight again, gathered the black leash up in his hand and set out. It was still raining but not quite so hard. Molly made a point of glancing back at Kodee and giving him a dirty look as they stepped out into the rain. She did not like the rain at all and she made that very clear. Kodee and the dog wandered away from the starbucks and down the end of the sidewalk, turning the corner. Once around the corner they found a roof over hang to stand under and there they waited. Kodee couldn't help but feeling very secret angenty as he waited for his dear sister.

She watched him with a small smile tinged on her rather pale lips. She wore no make up today. She was rather plain without it, although her eyes were as big and amazing as ever, but she didn't look as stunning as she sometimes could. She wasn't a natuarl beauty, per say. Not the type that could catch a guy's attention just as she was. Not that she wanted a guy's attention. After growing up so close to Kodee, she'd pretty much decided she didn't even wanto to try figuring out the male gender. She was doing fine on her own.
"What friends?" she teased in response to his The trick is you take her to meet one of your friends and she imediatley locks on and then BOOM you're free. She grinned, shaking her head. They had the typical teasing brother/sister relationship going on. Sometimes they could be downright nasty to each other, but not often, and always in good play, although people who didn't know them well were often appalled by some of the things they said to each other. But that was how they were. Sometimes Kadea could act more like a guy than a girl, to be quite honest. She looked very feminine, but there were little things that said she was more relaxed than most girls, like the fact that she was out today without makeup. Just simple things thatm ost people wouldn't notice.
She squeaked when Kodee informed her of what was going to happen. Here's the plan. You go up there and order me a mocha and I'll head out. You meet me around the corner and we'll go do something fun. She started to protest. "In the rain?! Are you kidding me?!" she squealed, but he was gone. Heaving a big sigh, she rose, tossing her now empty cup in the garbage can before stepping in line.
She rolled the twenty dollar bill around in her hand as she waited. The line was pretty long. Coffee seemed to be the antidote for a nasty, wet, cold rainy day like today. She heaved a sigh as she glanced longingly out the window. WHy could the sun come out? Just for even a day. It would make her feel better.
She heaved a sigh as she stepped up to the line, for a moment blanking on what Kodee had wanted. Scrambling around for a second, she remembered. She placed the order, getting herself another hot latte to keep her at least half ways warm, and paid with the twenty. She shoved the change in her pocket and stepped out of line to wait.
It didn't take very long and Kadea was grabbing the two steaming cups from the pickup counter. She wrapped her hands around the warmth and moved toward the door. SHe paused, getting up her gumption to go out in the rain. Wrinkling her nose, she shoved the door open and slipped outside, underneath the canopy thing that hung over the outdoor tables. She stepped out into the rain and walked faster, popping around the corner and stepping under the next canopy with relief. At least she was no longer being soaked. She offered his mocha to him before shoving her wet hair away from her face. "So, you said something fun. Just what exactly did you have in mind?" she asked with a slight laugh.

Kodee jumped slightly as Kadea came around the corner and his eyes widened as he quickly glanced in her direction. He let himself relax as he realized it was only his sister. So much for being a secret agent. He was too much of a chicken for that, scared by his own 5 foot 2 inch tall sister. Oh yeah, she was such a scary one. He rolled his eyes at himself before offering a smile to his sister "Thanks, Love!" he said in his mastered gay impression. It was so much in fact like a gay man would talk it was scary. Kodee had to admit that he took a little too much pride in his gay man impersonation. He could just do it so fucking well. And every time it weirded Kadea out. He just loved to see the creeped out look on her face. In fact he lived for it.
The young man snatched the mocha from his sister and he smiled a little bit before sticking out his tongue. He looked to the drink in her hand and his eyes narrowed suspiciously "Did you spend MY money on a drink for yourself!?" he asked as if appalled. He shook his head for a second and then dropped it as if in shame "I cannot believe that my dear sister. One that I once knew to be so kind would do such a thing. Can't you think of anyone but yourself?!" he lifted his head, putting on a pained face as he gazed at his sister, continuing to shake his head disappointedly. It was funny how realistic he could make this seem. His mother had always been right when she said that he'd go far in theater. Sadly he hadn't gone that route. In fact after his first show, his freshman year of highschool, he dropped out of the theater department. At least thats what he said. It was more so that he was kicked out after being caught behind the school doing drugs. After that he just hadn't bothered to get back into it.
"So, you said something fun. Just what exactly did you have in mind." His face turned from it's pained expression to something rather blank and he stared off into space for a minute. After what seemed like ages a large shrug crept over his shoulders and he grinned "Here's the thing..." he said in a matter of fact way before letting his eyes fall from her face to his wet shoes that sat on his feet "... I lied! I have no idea at all of what we should do" he grinned and let his eyes jump back to his sister's face. So maybe he'd told just a itty bitty tiny white lie. What harm was that going to do. He'd gotten his Mocha out of it and that was all that really mattered. Speaking of which, he raised his mocha to his lips, taking a drink of the hot liquid. That was just oh so delicious.
Molly sat on the ground, leaned up against the wall of the building as much as she could, trying to keep herself from the rain. Every so often she shot dirty looks in the direction of her master. She was not at all thrilled about being brought out into this weather and he would be paying for it later. Not that he really minded. She scolded him by not letting him pet her, by ignoring him, and by not sleeping in the bed with him. Most the times he didn't care as when she did these things it could get rather annoying. But if she kept the silent treatment up for too long Kodee would find himself beginning to miss his girl. She was his baby after all, well next to his car, and even when she was annoying he still loved her. And he had to admit that he kinda missed her when he was receiving the silent treatment. Molly let out a little whimper and huddled herself closer to the wall. Kodee glanced at her and laughed " You are a terrible, terrible, terrible Seattle dog" he mumbled, bending down to give her an assuring pat on the head. In returned he received a glare from the pit.

Kadea wrinkled her nose as her twin did his typical gay guy impersonation. It was just soo disgusting. She hated gay guys. THey were nasty. Especially when they were feminine. She wasn't bothered by the gay part so much as that they just acted more like girls than guys! How freaky was that?! She took a step back as if to say I do NOT know him. I am not with him! No idea who he is! but there was a twinkle in her eye that gave it away. She, unlike her brother, couldn't tell a lie to save her life. She couldn't fake anything, which was why she was generally not included in anything that was supposed to be a surprise.
She shook her head at his theatrics, stepping back in closer to him. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I did buy my latte with your money." She dug in her pocket for the change, shoving it at him, a smirk playing on her lips. "I'm a selfish bitch, you know that," she responded, laughing as she took a sip of the latte. Mmmm, coffee. Yum.
She rolled her eyes. "Of course you didn't have anything planned" she said with a slight shake of her head, another one of this big sister speaking down to immature little brother...Then again, Kodee really wasn't little anymore. He was a lot taller. Kadea had to admit, she kind of missed the days when she didn't have to crane her neck back to look at him. Then again, she was at a perfect height for hugs, or wrapping his arm around her shoulder...She was rather a fan of this. Kadea was quite the little love bug. She loved to cuddle...Like a dog or something! It was sometimes ridiculous, but it was like, a requirement for her would-be boyfriend. They had to give her hugs..Lots and lots of hugs. And kisses. And little things like that. Oh, and they had to have nice hands, too! That was a weird thing of Kadea's...But hell, if those hands were going to be touching her someday, they'd better be nice hands! She laughed a bit at her own train of thought and glanced back at Kodee, wrinkling her nose. "I hate the rain" she said with a shake of her head, then stepped closer and leaned her head against his chest. Another thing she was at a perfect height for, being so much shorter than him. "And I am sooooo tired" she mumbled sleepily, holding her latte out so it didn't spill on him or something. She and Kodee tended to have bad luck with spilling drinks on each other. It was quite ridiculous, really. I mean, good grief, how hard was it to keep a container of liquid pointing up or from splashing! But neither of them seemed able to manage that small feat...Even when they did have lids.

"I hate the rain." Kodee rolled his eyes a little bit. She was so pathetic. He wasn't sure why she insisted upon living in Seattle. He could take care of himself. If she hated it so much she didn't have to stay. "And I am sooooo tired." Kodee laughed a little bit and tossed his hands into the air "Suck it up!" he laughed around his words, his head shaking. She really was ridiculous. He watched as she stepped forward and she moved, resting her head against his chest. He glanced at the coffee in her hand warily, and as if reading his mind she moved the cup away a little bit. He had to smile. They really did share a brain weather they wanted to believe it or not.
Kodee let his arms slip around her as she stood close to him. They were rather close siblings. At times it was a little ridiculous. They had, on more the one occasion, been mistaken as a couple. Kodee had been so disgusted by the fact the first time it'd happened that he didn't hug her again for weeks afterward. Now it didn't bother him. He didn't care what people thought. In fact he found it rather to embarrass the people for assuming by informing them that Kadea was actually his sister, not his girlfriend. Couldn't they see the resemblance for goodness sake!
As he stood there, rocking side to side a little bit with his arms wrapped snuggly around her, he glanced towards Molly. She shot him another dirty look. He laughed a little bit, shaking his head. He had to admit that it wasn't really fair to be dragging her around in the rain and then asking her to sit while he had a grand old time being snuggly with his sister. It wasn't particularly fair to ask the dog to sit and watch while the two humans kept each other warm. He shook his head a little bit, trying to convince himself that dogs didn't think like that but as Molly shot him another look he was convinced that they actually did.
After a moment Kodee took a step back, his dark eyes watching the latte in her hand warily. He refused to be covered in hot liquid. He was already soaked, the last thing he needed was something hot over the top of the something cold. He let his arms slip from around her and he looked at her with a little bit of a smile "We should take Molly back to my place and then decide what to do from there" he said with a slight tip of his head, something that passed for a nod. He raised his arm to glance at his watch and he shrugged "I've got work at noon" he said, moving to take a step forward before pausing. He didn't really wanna pass by the Starbucks again. That girl might still be there, whatever her name was. He'd already forgotten.
Kodee turned on the heels of his worn converse and heading off in the opposite direction. He glanced back at Kadea and smiled a little bit "We're taking the long way because I said so" he said with a firm nod. He picked up speed so that she didn't have time to argue. He was good of getting himself out of these sorts of things. He'd state what was going to happen and then he'd take off. She couldn't say no and she couldn't exactly leave him hanging so he got his way. He was used to getting his way. In fact his whole family was used to him getting his way that it was almost like that was the way things were. Kodee got his way and that was basically that.

She laughed a bit, putting on a pathetic whiny voice. "You try not sleeping for like, a month straight. Oh wait, I forgot..." She rolled her eyes as he stepped away. "You do it all the time" She shook her head, her wet hair falling about her face as she glanced at her worn shoes. She wasn't looking very pretty today, in worn jeans and a black zip-up hoodie. Her dark hair was wet and several strands stuck to her face. She reached up, pushing them away from her face, glancing up at Kodee with shocking blue eyes.
She shrugged and nodded. Whatever. She was cool with that. She was used to being the tag along. And generally she was glad she didn't have to make the decisions. There, Kodee took the lead for her. Kadea wasn't a very decisive person, and she absolutely hated making decisoins, even small ones, like how they should go about getting to Kodee's place. It was almost a relief for her to just step back and let someone else lead. It was rather funny how Kodee and Kadea's personalities contrasted one another so completely, and yet they were perfect for each other. They completed each other, or something. She had always assumed it was a twin thing.
She tugged her hood over her head in disgust as she followed Kodee out into the rain, her thoughts wandering. She knew the long way, so she didn't bother to catch up, just working he rway through the crowds of people, keeping her head tipped down so the rain didn't blow in her face, and just let her thoughts wander. She had to laugh a bit. Kodee was right. She was rather pathetic. But he never seemed to mind, and Kadea was pretty sure she'd know if she did. They were kind of funny, the two of them. Usually the oldest looked after the youngest, even if it was the older sister looking after the younger brother. Technically, Kodee was the youngest, but he'd just sort of taken on the role of being protective older brother. Sometimes Kadea wondered if it was because he felt like he needed to fill in for their dad or something.
They didn't talk about their dad much. Kadea and Kodee had barely known him, but Karli had been 3 and a half when he died. Not very old, but old enough to remember bits and pieces. Sometimes Kadea felt kind of bad. Karli had been onher own and then there had been Kadea and Kodee, a neat little pair, like a built in support system for each other. THen again, Kodee had always been protective of Karli, so it wasn't really as if she'd been left out in any way. Kadea never really had quite figured out why her and Karli didn't click. Sometimes, like today, when she was actually thinkng about it, it bothered her. But it was another of those things that was just that way. And that was that. Kadea was also not a driven person. She didn't pursue change. In anything. Her take was generally "well that's that." And generally, she didn't really see any changing it. Nor any reason to.
She heaved a sigh, quickening her steps a bit to catch up with Kodee, falling into step beside him, her own short legs stretching to keep up with Kodee's long strides. The rain slackened off a bit and Kadea breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe she'd get used to the rain eventually. She was finding that, so long as it didn't get in her eyes or something (which it had an annoying tendency of doing) it wasn't so bad. She hated being soaked, but...Maybe she'd adjust. Maybe.

Kodee glanced back at his sister and his brown eyes rolled. She's ridiculous he thought to himself as his glanced back revealed that Kadea was still quite a ways back. He let a shrug sweep his shoulders and he kept going. She knew the way. If she insisted upon falling back so far then that was her problem. Kodee could be a rather careless person at times. It was funny how he could go from prince charming, the man of you dreams, to something you'd want to spend no time with at all. It was funny. Luckily most of the time he was the man of your dreams. The sweet considerate Kodee.
Molly moved her head to glance back at Kadea before she looked up at Kodee. He could swear that that dog was put on the earth to his his concious as she gazed up at him with a disapproving look. He heaved an over dramatic sigh and rolled his eyes "You're too nice for your own good" he mumbled to the dog, trying to hide the smile from his face. He stopped walking and glanced back again, waiting for Kadea to catch up. As he gazed at her he shook his head a bit, realizing why she was falling so far behind. He could just tell by looking at her that she was deep in thought.
As he stood there in the light rain, as he was covered from head to toe in water he gazed at his sister still continuing forward. His eyes rested on her face as he studied it. He wondered just what was going through her head. Deep thoughts didn't happen often for Kadea. At least not in the presence of Kodee. She was sorta a keep to herself sort of girl. She'd have her deep thoughts and mull over them for a while and then later, if she felt it was needed, she'd tell Kodee what she'd been thinking about.
Kadea reached them, still off in her own little world and he shook his head with a bit of a smile. She was really zoning. He slipped his arm around her and leaned in, kissing her cheek "Wake up!" he announced as he picked up a walk again, his arm across her shoulders. He laughed a little bit at the look she gave him and he picked up a faster walk " We gotta walk faster!" he announced and a grin spread his lips "I'm getting wet" he said with a firm nod.
The faster walk carried them farther faster and after about fifteen minutes they reached Kodee's small two bedroom rental. It was actually quite the cute little thing. It was a light blue with a white door and white shutters as well as a white picket fence around the small yard which held green grass. On a nice day the house looked simply adorable and earlier in the spring there had been little yellow daffodils along the front which had been just lovely. There was a nice paved driveway and a garage which held his prized possession, his baby, his car.
Kodee started towards the front door, having to walk through the open gate of the picket fence. He bent down for a moment, unleashing Molly. She made a mad dash for the front door and the little roof over hang above it. Kodee laughed a little bit "She's worse then you" he teased Kadea as he followed Molly to the door. Kodee shoved his hand into the pocket of his rather tight fitting jeans. He pulled out the single key and shoved it into the door, unlocking it before pushing the front door open, stepping into his house.
The inside of the house was just as nice if not nicer then the outside. It was almost amazing how clean it was inside. Despite his wild lifestyle Kodee actually liked order to things. He liked his house neat and tidy and he liked it clean. So he kept it this way. The hard wood floors that waited for them inside the door were spotless. Well that was until Molly dashed through the door, getting her wet doggy prints all over the floor. Kodee's eyes widened and he shook his head. Great. He had some cleaning ahead of him after work.
The hardwood floors spread through the entry way, disappearing to the right where the kitchen met and black and white tile took over the floor. Off to the left the hardwood met the living room and cream colored carpet took over. Kodee shook his head as Molly moved towards the living room "Don't you dare!" he said firmly and the dog paused, glancing back at him. He shook his head and she lowered her head, turning and heading back to the kitchen where she had a bed waiting for her.
{ I would have wrapped this up better but I gotta go! So this'll have to do }

Kadea smiled a bit to herself as Kodee put his arm around her shoulder and pecked her on the cheek. She laughed at his Wake up! "I'm awake, I'm awake! she exclaimed with a laugh, pulling herself out of her thoughts.
Her thoughts of the day really weren't all that deep. SHe was really just kind of reminising about all that had happened to them over their nineteen years. It was kind of weird for her that they were already nineteen and out of highschool. Where had the time gone? It was rather crazy, really. It seemed like just last night or something her and Kodee were pulling the big pool into the living room and filling it up so they didn't have to swim with the bees. A smile tugged at her lips at the memory.
She was again pulled out of her thoughts. Walk faster! I'm getting wet! She rolled her eyes a bit. "As if the rest of us aren't? she asked him dryly, the tiniest of smiles tugging at the corners of her mouth.
Most wouldn't even have noticed the twitch of her lips. Kadea was a subtle person, and a lot of her emotions and expressions were spoken in little movements. You had to know her pretty well to be able to read her the way Kodee did. Or maybe you just had to pay attention. Or know her well enough to pay attention, or...Whatever. Did it really matter?
Kadea heaved a sigh. Her thoughts were often random "deep" thoughts about nothing that was really that important at all. Sometimes she had to wonder a bit about herself.
Finally, they reached Kodee's house. It was the cutest little place, and, eventually, when she actually had enough money to get a house, Kadea hoped to get something rather similiar. It was just a cute house.
Kodee's arm slipped from around her shoulder as he bent to unleash Molly and she shivered a bit. Now the wet didn't bother her so much as the cold. She followed Kodee up to the house, ignoring his comment about She's worse than you! She stepped into the warm house, breathing a sigh of relief as she kicked off her dripping shoes, although she herself was still dripping. She peeled off the hoodie, revealing a greenish care bears teeshirt underneath. She glanced around, shoving the hoodie on a nearby hook in a feeble attempt to get it at least slightly dry before she had to leave again. SHe stepped into the house, shivering a bit still, not quite sure what to do with herself. She was still dripping wet, and she knew Kodee hated a mess, so she didn't particularly want to just go running into the house and leaving a nice little rain trail in her wake, so she stood there a few minutes, looking a bit like the homeless puppy that got caught in a storm or something...

Kodee glanced back at Kadea as he slipped out of his sopping converse. He laughed a little bit, she looked like a drowned rat. He shook his head a bit and motioned down the carpeted hallway off of the living room which lead to his bedrooms as well as the bathroom. He smiled a little bit "There's some of your clothes in Molly's room" he said with a nod. Molly's room which was actually the guest room but usually when he had guests they were women and they tended to sleep in his room. So in the end Molly was the one that spent the most time in the room and it had become Molly's Room. Karli had come and visited once. And she'd started out in the guest room. But in the end she'd ended up in Kodee's bed. Obviously for different reasons then the other women that came through Kodee's house. Really that was the last time Kodee could even remember the guest room being used and even then it'd been used for about three hours.
Another question was why were Kadea's clothes here? It was quite a good question in fact and one that Kodee could only shrug to. Kadea stayed the night quite frequently. It was funny how close they were, as siblings. And she tended to do laundry here too. So between the two things her clothes got left behind. Not to mention quite a few of women that stayed with Kodee left clothes behind and Kodee did have to admit that not all the clothes in the guest bedroom dresser were Kadea's. Oh well. He'd washed them all before putting them in the dresser so for all he cared they belonged to Kadea.
Kodee shoved his soggy converse aside and moved his hands, his fingers undoing the button on his tight fitting jeans. He slid his jeans down, left in just his boxers. He started across the hardwood floor, setting the pants over his arm. He stopped off at the bathroom and hung his wet pants over the shower before slipping out of his shirt and doing the same with that. He was now left completely in his boxers as he wandered from the bathroom, moving to the room next door which happened to be his room.
His room was of course the largest one in the house but even so it wasn't really that big. A king sized bed sat in the center of the room against the wall. It was neatly made with a black comforter on top of cream colored sheets. There was a pair of boxers that lay on the floor that had been discarded during this mornings romp in the sack with whats her face. Other then the boxers the floor was spotless. There wasn't even any fuzzies or dog hair or nothing. Like the rest of his house it was completely flawless. So he was a bit of a neat freak. A bit of a perfectionist. He hid it all so well until you entered his house.
Kodee wandered to the black dresser that sat up against the wall opposite his bed and he tugged the top drawer open, grabbing another pair of tight fitting jeans from inside. He move to slip them on over his boxers which had been lucky enough not to get to terribly wet. He looked down at himself as he buttoned the jeans into place, now left in his his jeans and shirtless. He glanced at mirror and had to grin "Hey Sexy" he mumbled and wiggled his eyebrows before laughing at himself.
After pulling on a white t-shirt with a green dinosaur on the front he wandered back out of his room and wandered into the kitchen where Molly lay in her bed, waiting to be cleaned up so that she could go into the carpeted areas. Kodee snatched a towel off of the counter and wandered over, bending down to wipe his dogs paws clean. And once he had she jumped up and wandered back to her bedroom and jumped up on the bed, curling up. Kodee wandered out to the living room and flopped down on the couch to wait for his sister.

The girl nodded a bit, peeling off her wet shirt as she went, shivering a bit. Obviously she had no qualms about undressing in front of her twin. She slipped down to the guest bedroom, or Molly's room, or whatever you wanted to call it. She yanked the jeans off, again shivering as the air met her icy legs. She tossed the clothes in the hamper that she sort of considered "hers" where she discarded her dirty clothes until she did was. Yanking open a dresser drawer she pulled on a pair of flare jeans and then a black teeshirt, over which came a teal hoodie sweatshirt which she snuggled into. She ran a brush through her soaking hair to get the worst of the tangles out and yanked on another pair of socks. She glanced at Molly who had now curled up on the bed. She smiled, wandering over to the dog and stroking her a few times. "You're a pretty good dog for Kodee, aren't you my friend?" she cooed to the dog. Giving the dog's ear a last affectionate tug she wandered out to the living room where Kodee had flopped down.
She peered into his bedroom and had to smile a bit. Kodee kept his house cleaner than she kept her apartment. Some might have expected it to be the other way around, but it wasn't anything like that. A lot of people who set expectations for the twins were quite shocked when they got to know them better. The pair of them hardly ever acted or did what people expected them to act like or do, so most were in for a shock.
She tossed her wet hair over her shoulder, away from her face, her hands in the sleeves of the hoodie sweatshirt to keep them at least slightly warm. She flopped down on the couch next to Kodee, pulling her legs up and curling up, resting her head on his shoulder.
