History: Alice was born and raised in Chicago, attending school there as well. She has packed up her life and moved, several times during her adolesence. Her father was frequently absent because of his busy job, and when she was 6 her mother passed away due to a car accident. When Alice turned 16, she got her license. It was also the day she got her very first speeding ticket. Her father bought her a shiny black Mercedes, which became her baby. During high school, she was a social butterfly. She was involved in many activites, to keep busy and away from her empty home. When she turned 17, she begun working as a Dietary Aide at the local hospital. Alice usually kept out of trouble, for what her father knew. She experimented with alcohol quite a bit, and tried drugs - not for her. Unusually pretty, she was the center of most conversations, and she enjoyed that. She is also a little concieted, though she won't admit to it. Alice is modest, and tries her hardest to be a perfectionist. When she turned 18, she graduated, and was given her second dog - Tawny as a graduation present. A few months later, she aquired another pup named Indie. Her three prides, her Mercedes, and two pitbull pups.
She aims to please people, and make them happy. Putting everyone before herself. She tries, because she can never seem to please her father. Finally, when Alice was 19, her father kicked her out of the house. She stayed with a good friend, and kept her optimism on life. Less than a month ago, she was offered to come to Seattle to visit a friend - and found a small affordable apartment, and was promised a job at the local Bakery frosting cakes. Today, she begins the drive.

Sample Post:
A young Alice Holtman played in her room, quietly dressing small dolls in their elaborate outfits. She wondered when father would be home, and waited for mommy to be done cooking in the kitchen. She suddenly leapt to her feet, excitedly bounding down the stairs to show off the outfit she had created that she was proud of. Alice bounded around the kitchen island, and grasped her mother’s apron, tugging vigorously while whining “Mommy, look what I did! See? Isn’t it pretty?” Her mother, Lynette good-naturedly shooed her daughter away. “Alice” She chided, “Mommy is trying to get supper ready. Why don’t you go play with Deefer?” She smiled and turned back to the stove, stirring the pot of stew. The scent of meat and potatoes hung like a heavy canopy in the air. Alice’s lower lip jutted out, her excited expression fell dejectedly to the floor. She shuffled away back to her room. Sitting in the cold, tidy little room with no one but her dog, Deefer, she realized -- she was unwanted.
Suddenly jerked back to the present, Alice veered away from the curb of the road. Her shiny black Mercedes sped down the interstate, the engine purred quietly -- the sound she loved. Beside her on the cool leather seat lay Indie, her Pitbull puppy that was her second pride. Her ivory, downy soft coat radiated the temptation for Alice to reach over and stroke her tiny head. She gave in, ruffling it slightly as the little creature cast a loving glance while her pink tongue lolled out of her mouth contentedly, drifting back to sleep. The AC blasted chilly air, whisking Alice’s bangs back. Through the deep tinted windows, she could see the city approaching. Seattle, finally. She could start anew here, nobody knew anything. She could be, whoever she wanted to be. She grinned thoughtfully, beginning to conjure up idea’s in her head.
I could be an ex druggie. I could be a gamer-girl. I could be a punk. I could be a partier. Or I could be nothing..
She pondered how she would periodically change herself, and her groups of people. To taste the differences. Breeding variety. An impulsive thought caught her off-guard as a wide smile begun to creep across her face.
I’ll get a tattoo.
She gripped the steering wheel and squealed. Indie looked up and her and barked, her tail wagging happily. Alice patted her head and shushed her. Beginning to enter the city limits, Alice practically had her nose pressed to the glass in excitement. She drove on, there was an electric feeling to the air. The feeling of newness, the feeling of change. Knowing your past was finally hundreds of miles away and buried in memories. As she came closer to the tiny apartment that would become her new home, her throat ran dry as gravel. It was adrenaline setting in, as she realized she couldn’t turn back now, and this was it. Blood rushing to her cheeks, she pulled into her appropriate parking space. She breathed deep and smiled, scooping up Indie into her arm as she rushed out of the car to see what waited for her.
